Bearing a wordy full name and monstrous CRIT DMG and DEF-boosting passive, the Redhorn Stonethresher is yet to appear in Genshin Impact. Here’s what you need to know about the five-star claymore weapon.

Genshin Impact’s 2.3 update introduced players to a brand new five-star weapon and artifact sets. While the artifact sets are already available in-game, the five-star weapon, the Redhorn Stonethresher, has yet to make its appearance.

In this guide, we’ll detail everything you need to know about the Redhorn Stonethresher, its stats and abilities, ascension materials and how one can acquire the weapon.

What is the Redhorn Stonethresher?

The Redhorn Stonethresher is a five-star claymore weapon that was announced during the 2.3 Special program livestream. The weapon is likely to be wielded by the Geo character, Arataki Itto.

According to the weapon’s official description, the Redhorn Stonethresher ‘s full name is the “Mighty Redhorn Stoic Stonethreshing Gilded Goldcrushing Lion Lord”. That’s quite a mouthful!

Regardless of its wordy full name, it was at once wielded by the Otogi Kongou Lion King and was crafted from the horn of an enchanted monster. The weapon became feared by many before they ultimately met their fates at the hands of the Otogi Kongou Lion King and his ferocious blade.

Redhorn Stonethresher stats & abilities

• Rarity: 5-star
• ATK: 44-542
• Secondary Stat: 19.2% – 88.2% CRIT DMG

Redhorn Stonethresher's passive (Special Ability), Gokadaiou Otogibanashi, has two effects with the first being that it will increase the character’s DEF stats by 28%. The second effect of this passive is that it will buff Normal and Charged Attack DMG by 40% of the DEF stats.

The Redhorn Stonethresher’s DEF and CRIT DMG stats are best suited for characters who scale off on DEF like the aforementioned, Arataki Itto. However, if players are yet to acquire the Geo character, the weapon’s stats and abilities could do well for Noelle in particular but also for Beidou and Xinyan who are claymore wielders.

How to get the Redhorn Stonethresher?

Travelers will need to enter the Epitome Invocation Event Wish banner that will run from 14th December until 4th January 2022 for a chance to obtain Redhorn Stonethresher. As such, they will need to use the Epitomized Path to set a course for the 5-star claymore, Redhorn Stonethresher, to significantly increase its drop rate.

To learn more about the Event Wish banner, Travelers can navigate to the Wish screen in-game and look for the event details. You can choose your preferred weapon, play the game and wait for the drop to arrive. Redhorn Stonethresher won’t be made available in the standard "Wanderlust Invocation" wish banner.
