It is time to rake up those leaves for Recycle the Fall 2022 in Meridian

Every fall, the City works with Republic Services to offer Meridian residents the opportunity to either place bags of leaves out for pick-up service or drop leaves off at participating locations.

Anyone can participate as long as they follow the guidelines:

- Leaves must be loose or in paper leaf bags, no plastic bags or carboard boxes allowed

- Leaves only (no branches, pumpkins, garden plants, etc.)

- Limit of 10 leaf bags per week

- Place leaves in your grass recycling cart or in paper leaf bags (do not tape bags)

- Set leaf bags and grass carts out on your regular trash service day

- Have all your items at the curb by 6 a.m.

Drop your leaves off at one of the park site locations below. Parks are open from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., Oct. 18 to Dec. 15.

- Centennial Park (223 E. Idaho Ave.)

- Discovery Park (2121 E. Lake Hazel Rd.)

- Fuller Park (3761 W. Park Creek Dr.)

- Heroes Park (3064 W. Malta Dr.)

- Kleiner Park (1805 W. Venture St.)

- Renaissance Park (4155 S. Genoard Ave.)

- Settlers Park (3245 N. Meridian Rd.)

- Storey Park (205 E. Franklin Rd.)

- Tully Park (2500 N. Linder Rd.)

Alternatively, you could try one of these other drop site locations:

- Meridian Transfer Station (2130 W. Franklin Rd.), open Monday to Saturday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Accepting leaves Tuesday, Oct. 18 to Thursday, Dec. 15.

- Ada County Landfill (10300 N Seamans Gulch Rd.), open Monday to Friday, 7 a.m. - 6 p.m. and Saturday, 8 a.m. - 6 p.m. Accepting leaves Monday, Oct. 10 to Saturday, Dec. 17.
