Lou Jean Cooper, 78 years of age, of Tamaqua, Pennsylvania passed away on Wednesday, July 31, 2024, while a guest of Seton Manor in Orwigsburg.
Born Sunday, April 7, 1946 in Coaldale, Pennsylvania daughter of the late Louis D., and Jean M. (Rehrig) Cooper.
Surviving are; brother, Louis Daniel Cooper and his wife Mary of Tamaqua; niece, Jessica Roddick and her daughter Kinley; nephew, Jared Cooper his wife Cristina, their children, Brianna and Andrea.
A 1964 Tamaqua High School graduate, and graduate of West Reading Hospital, School of Radiology, Lou Jean worked as a radiologist at Good Samaritan Hospital and later retired from Atlas Powder/ICI. A member of St. John U.C.C. of Tamaqua, Lou Jean enjoyed spending time with her great nieces and doing crafts, especially scrapbooking.

Ryan John McCole, 42, a resident of Shenandoah, passed away on Wednesday, July 24th, 2024 at his residence.
Ryan was born in Easton on August 5, 1981, a son of former Shenandoah residents, John and Kathleen McCole, currently of Clearwater, FL.
He was a 2000 graduate of the Shenandoah Valley High School, and enjoyed football, baseball, ice hockey and video games.
Ryan was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, John and Anna (Novatka) McCole; his maternal grandparents, William and Elizabeth (Hudock) Hilbert, and his Godmother, Julie Kilker.
In addition to his parents, Ryan is survived by his caregiver and friend, Walter Barlow, his Godfather, Edward McCole, along with aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a religious service at 10 AM on Friday, August 9th, 2024 at the Walukiewicz-Oravitz Fell Funeral Home, 132 South Jardin Street, Shenandoah, with the Rev. Mindy Heppe, officiating. Interment will take place at the Annunciation BVM Cemetery in Shenandoah Heights, following the service. Visitation with Ryan's family will be from 8 AM until the time of the Service on Friday morning at the funeral home.

Larry E. Lucas, 81, of Hegins, passed away Wednesday morning, July 31, 2024 at the Tremont Health & Rehabilitation Center.
Born in Hegins, May 22, 1943, a son of the late Frank and Grace Shadle Lucas. He attended Tri Valley High School.
He was a United States Army veteran, serving during the Vietnam War.
Larry was an independent coal miner. He spent many years mining on the Good Spring Mountain.
He enjoyed playing bingo and going on his trips to the casino. He was also very active with the Lucas Mining Racecar. Above all else, he enjoyed spending time with his family.
Surviving are his two children, Matthew A. Lucas and his wife Jaci, Klingerstown, and Pamela A. Benfer and her husband Mike, Winfield; three grandsons, Brandon, Blake, and Dylan; a sister, Arlene Kissinger, Hegins; a brother, James Lucas and his wife Sandy, Hegins.
Family and friends are invited to the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery on Friday, August 16, 2024 at 2:30 PM where Larry will be laid to rest with full military honors.

Albert J. Kutsko, 66, of Lake Wynonah PA. Passed away Monday July 29th 2024 at the home of his mother in Brandonville, PA.
Albert was born in Shenandoah, PA on September 18th 1957, a son of Joan (Baddick) Grabosky and the late Albert Kutsko.
Albert graduated from West Hazleton High School, Class of 1976.
He was employed at Carpenter Technology where he retired from.
Albert is survived by his mother Joan Grabosky, his half brother Richard “Ricky” Grabosky and his wife Angela, a sister Joan Gibbons and a brother Marty Kutsko, both of Ringtown, and his 3 nieces, Sarah and her boyfriend Vendelin Juricevic who Albert really loved talking about fishing and hunting with. Anna and Leah who loved his humor and his funny stories.
Albert is preceded in death by his stepfather Richard W. Grabosky who passed away November 1st 2022.
He will be greatly missed for his straight-shooting personality, humor and antics.
He was truly loved very much and will be tremendously missed by all of us, especially by Sarah, Anna and Leah.
He was also very active in his community of Lake Wynonah with grass cutting and snow plowing. He loved fishing on Salmon River in Pulaski, New York where he loved to go every year with friends but especially with his brother Ricky, GeGe, Angelo and Mikey. He was also known as a big sportsman filling his deer tags every year.
A Funeral Service will be held at the Louis D. Truskowsky Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., Mahanoy City, PA, at 11 AM on Friday, August 9th, with Deacon Dave Henninger officiating.
