Wayne Newton returns to Maui in December | News, Sports, Jobs

Singing legend Wayne Newton will return to Maui for his “Up Close and Personal” show at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 7 in the Maui Arts & Cultural Center’s Castle Theater.

Known for “Danke Schoen” and other top hits, Newton has recorded and released 165 albums in his career to date, according to a MACC news release.

“Mr. Las Vegas” has performed live in front of more than 40 million people during a record-setting run of 25,000-plus shows in Vegas, alone. He recently returned to the Flamingo Las Vegas Hotel and Casino, where he performs “Up Close and Personal,” a journey through his Vegas career featuring hit songs and personal stories.

Tickets are on sale for MACC members and will be available to the general public on Friday only at MauiArts.org. Rates are $45, $55, $65 and $85, with a limited number of premiere $125 seats, plus fees. MACC members get a 10 percent discount.

The MACC will collect donations for the Maui Food Bank for those impacted by the Aug. 8 fires. Everyone who brings a donation will be entered into a drawing to win an instant seat upgrade for a pair of front-row tickets.
