He was previously the Commissioner of Finance in Oyo State, Nigeria, where he led a team of 50 people that included the Director/Accountant General, Heads of Departments, Senior Managers, and Special Advisers to implement a medium-term Financial strategy for the overall framework of Financial and budgetary management.
This resulted in financial reporting excellence, which resulted in long-term growth in cash flow for recurrent and capital expenditures. By enacting the Fiscal Responsibility Act, he flawlessly implemented a rigorous framework for financial forecasting that discovered new income sources and spending drivers while boosting access to the capital market.
